We are a highly experienced professional instrumental duo (husband and wife, Malcolm & Elizabeth Ecclestone). We provide unobtrusive background music ideal for weddings, cool dinner jazz for sophisticated entertainment or something more upbeat for your party. As wedding band or party band we guarantee to give your occasion the ambience it deserves.

Whether you want smooth jazz to give suitable atmosphere to a champagne reception or formal dinner, or lively foot-tapping tunes for your birthday or anniversary party, Manhattan Magic Jazz Duo will perform the perfect mix just for you. We are the ideal small jazz band to hire. Our popular combination of saxophone and keyboard will be certain to delight you and your guests.

For more formal occasions Manhattan Classical performs popular classical pieces on a range of instruments that includes oboe, saxophone and digital piano, harpsichord and organ. This stylish combination is particularly suitable for wedding ceremonies, christenings and other events where formal music is more appropriate to the occasion. We also offer the choice of easy listening crossover classical music.

Manhattan Medieval and Folk Minstrels perform a wide range of popular music from the 13th to the 19th centuries on numerous traditional instruments. You are free to choose any style or combination of styles to suite your mood or event.

An additional option is a combination of all of these styles. Your guests can be welcomed with traditional or classical music that discreetly moves into smooth dinner jazz and eventually to foot-tapping party music. You have the choice from any of our wide range of musical styles. Jazz Band, Classical Duo or Minstrels.
Fees
We are based in the Norwich area and perform mainly in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Our fees include up to 50 miles of travelling. We are very happy to travel further afield by arrangement. Our charges range from £150 to £500, depending on the length of performance and distance travelled. For a typical two hour session in Norfolk we charge £175. We request a booking deposit of £75. We also offer a romantic Kenny G style performance for solo sax with backing tracks from £125.

We typically perform as a Duo for approximately two hours with short breaks during which we will provide suitable recorded music. We are very willing to extend our playing time, and augment with additional musicians if requested. Please feel free to contact us by email or telephone for more information. Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions and our complete wedding package
For the ceremony we can provide classical or traditional music as your guests arrive and leave. For the entry of the bride and during the signing of the register we will play your favourite pieces. (we are happy to suggest suitable music from which you can choose).
During the drinks reception we can entertain your guests with relaxed jazz music while the bride and groom are having their wedding pictures taken. At the wedding breakfast we can again provide the perfect accompaniment as you enjoy your food and conversation. Later on we can change to lively foot-tapping tunes so that you and your guests can dance the night away. Our complete wedding package provides all the music throughout the day, from the arrival of your guests prior to the ceremony through to the evening entertainment. A entertaining mix of classical, jazz and pop. Charges for this are £400 - £500. However, we are happy to perform for all or any part of your day.

Parties and Christmas Celebrations
We play for dinner parties, dinner dances Christmas parties, and special occasions both indoors and out. When required we can play at a discreet volume ideally suited for private homes and restaurants. You can choose from Christmas carols played on traditional instruments, Christmas jazz and pop on saxophone and keyboard or a mixture of all styles.

Hotels, Restaurants Themed Events and Corporate Entertainment
We perform at various special events and themed evenings. These include dinner dances, Christmas lunches, Valentine's Day dinners and medieval weddings and feasts. We also provide music for company dinners, product launches and various similar corporate events. Once again the volume of our music will be set to an appropriate level. We have £5m public liability insurance and our electrical equipment is PAT tested.
